Who Is This For
KNOWLEDGE THAT
SAVES LIVES
The BLUESPEARHEAT methodology equips journalists, photographers, frontline reporters, and aid workers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to operate safely in the field — minimising the risk of injury, harm, or death.
Rising Incident Rates
Journalists, photographers, and frontline reporters face escalating security threats in the field — from violent crimes and abductions to targeted drone attacks. Incidents targeting media professionals and aid workers have significantly increased in recent decades.
Complex Operating Environments
Operating safely in fragile and hostile regions requires preparation, preparedness and training — HEAT — that enhances knowledge and skills for working in complex environments.
Practical, Hands-On Experience
This training goes beyond basic safety. It provides practical, hands-on experience that simulates real-life situations — not theoretical frameworks that don't survive contact with reality.
Tailored to Your Organisation
Our HEAT programme can be customised to meet the specific needs and contexts of different organisations, ensuring training aligns with the unique challenges faced by your staff.
